Over 130 years of working for the world<\/strong><\/p>\n

Where we are from has always shaped how we think about design at Euro-Locks and Lowe & Fletcher. In fact, in many ways, it’s still guiding how we design our products today.<\/p>\n

Our story begins back in 1889 in the West Midlands, when John Lowe and Thomas Fletcher founded a business crafting precision-engineered locks in the Black Country. Known as the Workshop of the World, the area was defined, some might say ‘forged’, by hard work, ingenuity and a pride in making things properly. Those principles haven\u2019t just stayed with us, they help define who we are.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>A quick look back at looking forward<\/strong><\/p>\n

From the outset, our products and designs have been shaped by the demands of the markets we serve. By 1902, we were producing high-quality brass padlocks for maritime use as an official Admiralty and War Office contractor. As industries modernised, so did we, introducing mortice locks in the 1930s, disc tumbler locks in the 1960s, then moving into digital lock solutions in the 2010s.<\/p>\n

Innovation still underpins everything we do today, from battery-free NFC solutions to our latest touchscreen interfaces. The only thing that hasn’t changed is our unwavering commitment to only use the highest quality mechanical barrels in our locks.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>A truly world-class perspective<\/strong><\/p>\n

Today, our Locking Systems Division continues to deliver solutions for a global market, but nowadays our business is literally based within those markets.<\/p>\n

With design and manufacturing sites across Europe and the USA, we supply over 80 million products a year to more than 30 countries. And, as you would expect, all those different sectors and regions give us a broader, more informed global perspective for what our users demand today. While we’ve always worked for the world, now we understand what it needs more than ever.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>What’s more, we design and manufacture everything in-house, and have the agility to respond quickly, adapting to changing markets, new technology and the needs of our customers in double-quick time.<\/p>\n

What sets us apart is not just what we make, but how we think. As a sixth generation family-owned business, we still hold on to those values that have seen us through the last 137 years.
