A lever lock uses a set of levers, in place of tumblers, to prevent the locking bolt from moving in the lock. Our range of lever locks include 7-lever rim locks and safe locks and are normally found on applications such as:

7 Lever Dead Bolt Rim Lock 2201

A range of 7 lever rim locks with a dead bolt closing action available in a zinc plate finish. Ideal for use on many applications these locks are commonly found on enclosures, post and parcel boxes. These locks are normally supplied with the key free in the locked and unlocked positions, however they can also be supplied with the key trapped in the unlocked position. The fixing holes as shown on the technical drawing (below) are standard, but can be varied to suit individual requirements.

A 7 lever rim lock 2216 with a dead bolt closing action available in a zinc plate finish. Ideal for use on many applications these locks are commonly found on enclosures, wooden and metal furniture. These locks are normally supplied with the key free in the locked and unlocked positions, however they can also be supplied with the key trapped in the unlocked position. The fixing holes as shown on the technical drawing (below) are standard, but can be varied to suit individual requirements.

This means the lock is suitable for use in safes and other high security applications.
Key features of lever locks
Lever locks use levers in the place of tumblers. The number of levers may vary, but generally the greater the number of levers, the more secure the lock will be. The housing on a lever lock is normally fixed to the rear of the door with only a keyhole, and possibly a nozzle, visible when locked thus providing additional security.
- 7-lever rim locks Designed to sit on the surface of the locking door, our 7-lever rim locks are available in either a dead bolt or spring (slam) action.
- Safe locks Used primarily on safes and other high security applications, all of our safe locks are fitted with anti-pick levers as standard and are available with 7, 8 or 11-levers and a variety of lock combinations from 1,600 to 200,000.
